Let's talk about food babies..
Will you like the food!?!
Food is one of my greatest pleasures. Good day or bad day - I like coming home to a delicious meal. In a TEFL teacher's apartment though it can be a bit tricky to prepare your own meals (You get a two-plate stove and a microwave so you really do miss that oven) but fear not because Korea has every type of restaurant you could think of (well, most cities do anyways). Just like any other place in the world if you are further away from a city in the countryside your food options won't vary as much. First and foremost Korean food is delicious and oh so cheap. Bibimbap, Korean BBQ and fried chicken is a staple diet here - so whether you are positioned in the countryside or in the city you will be just fine. The number of sides given with every meal with blow your mind - one of the standard side dishes that never changes is Kimchi ( a spicy cabbage) it is an acquired taste but believe me after a month or two your taste buds will be acquired to that taste and you will start to crave it with every Korean meatball or pork stew you have. Secondly, foreigners food! Worried you are going to miss that pizza or hamburger? Fear not, you will find Italian, American-style diners, Chinese and so on all around Korea - even if it is not in your town, worst scenario is that it will be in a town a one hour's bus ride away.
